China, India, Vietnam, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong will showcase their Pickleball skills at Hoiana’s new playground

Hoiana Golf & Resort is delighted to announce the opening of the state-of-the-art Hoiana Pickleball Court, which now offers eight premium indoor and outdoor courts aimed at elevating pickleball in the region. The Hoiana Pickleball Court will host the prestigious World Pickleball Championship in January 2025, bringing the global competition to its recently announced new offices.

The grand opening was a recognised event, attended by Mr. Tao Viet Hai, Head of the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with Mr. Jan David, the pioneer behind Pickleball Worldwide and the World Pickleball Title. Delegates from local pickleball clubs, experts and media also gathered to celebrate this achievement in the game’s development and contribution to Hoiana’s health.

With this launch, Hoiana Resort and Golf has taken a major step forward in expanding its sports and wellness facilities, offering unrivalled offices to both domestic and international visitors. During the event, Jan David announced that Hoiana Resort and Golf is the title sponsor for the 2025 World Pickleball Championship, a pinnacle competition that will bring together the best pickleball players. The title will include rigorous handling adjustments facilitated across multiple countries, culminating in Hoiana’s premier setting.

The grand final in January will see top players from eight countries and regions, including Central China, India, Vietnam, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong, demonstrate their skills on Hoiana’s main course. The event not only highlights Hoiana’s commitment to sports and health, but also its role as a key target for top-quality global events.

Mr. Tao Viet Hai, Head of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, emphasized that sports have great potential as a reliable financial driver, capable of attracting tourists and promoting development in Quang Nam. He highlighted that sports games and activities serve as a special attraction, attracting more visitors to the locality.

At the grand opening event, Hoiana Resort and Golf celebrated another achievement by signing a capacity building sponsorship deal with 16-year-old Sophia Phuong Anh, Vietnam’s youngest professional pickleball star. Sophia recently made an impact on the world forever by winning two gold medals at the 2024 World Pickleball Title Series in Bali, Indonesia.

With the core goal of bringing pickleball closer to everyone, Hoiana Resort and Golf has also partnered with ePGA – Eric’s Pickleball and Golf Foundation to bring the game closer to the local area. This joint effort will provide tailored projects for youth, students and families, empowering widespread support for pickleball. As part of the grand opening, Hoiana Resort and Golf is facilitating fortnightly competitions with no entry fee, where members can win exciting prizes.
