Nearly 300 children from shelters and disadvantaged families in Ho Chi Minh City will have the opportunity to practice professional football with mentors from the Genuine Madrid Establishment (RMF) for 3 days.
After many long breaks, YKK and the Genuine Madrid Establishment have returned to Vietnam with the desire to open the door for children with disabilities to be prepared and guided with proficient techniques. The YKK ASAO children’s football class in cooperation with the Genuine Madrid Establishment (RMF) took place from November 8 to 10 at the Chateau Sports Club football field (Ho Chi Minh City) with the support of about 300 children from shelters and distressed families.
From the start, three mentors from RMF will provide top-notch preparation strategies and processes to over 30 mentors in Ho Chi Minh City. the real Madrid universe. Over the two days, mentors from RMF and Vietnam will join the children in the preparation cycle, thus giving them a special encounter.
This is not only a nurturing occasion but also an opportunity for children to learn important qualities such as cooperation, stability and the will to succeed. These refined abilities will help children develop more comprehensively, in sports as well as in everyday life. YKK will provide all the soccer balls and training equipment to the children’s towns, shelters and schools, empowering children to continue to pursue their energy for soccer and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The event’s progression over the years has been a great help to underprivileged youth, providing them with a unique opportunity to meet RMF’s renowned football coaches face-to-face.
Speaking at the Q&A session on the morning of 8 November, Mr. Kosuke Miimi, Administrator of YKK Holding Asia Pte. Ltd, testified: “This is a meaningful program that serves the children as well as the local community. This event opens the door for children who have limited opportunities to participate in sports and brings the local community together through the love of football. The coaching class is also an opportunity for children to learn important qualities, such as cooperation, perseverance and the will to succeed. These subtle skills will help children develop more comprehensively, in sports as well as in daily life.”
The YKK ASAO Junior Soccer Class started in 2007, with the aim of promoting the all-round development of children through sports and focusing on children with disabilities aged 8 to 17. This important event has been held in many countries such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam. This is the fourth time the program has been present in Vietnam and the third time it has been held in Ho Chi Minh City, in addition to the one held in Hanoi in 2019.
