Pickleball World Rankings (PWR) has announced the Thu Duc HTV DJOY Open Hero Cup Pickleball Tournament, where Pickleball players across Vietnam will have a great opportunity to improve their PWR rankings as well as their personal DUPR rating.
After shifting to Bengaluru, Pickleball World Rankings on Wednesday announced an upcoming competition in Vietnam. PWR has secured that this will be Southeast Asia’s largest global pickleball event. Named the PWR THU DUC HTV DJOY Open Hero Cup, the competition will be held in Ho Chi Minh City and will run from December 11 to Sunday, December 15.
The popularity of Pickleball has gradually spread to Vietnam. They recently facilitated the World Pickleball Title (WPC) Series – Asia Pacific.
The game has been around in Vietnam for a long time, since 2018, but it has only really grown at an extremely rapid pace since January this year.
Pickler players across the country say the number of players this year is several hundred times higher than at the end of 2023.
